The Raine Family Legacy--Gen 1, Chapter 4: Time Flies When You're Having Fun!

The look on Ember's face right now, looks a lot like fear to me.  Time passes, unhindered, for everyone, even Vampire-Elves.  Ember is hardly what you would call young anymore.  She looks afraid because she knows her time is running out.  She knows she has to conceive an heir to pass on her evil legacy, someone to continue her life's work when she is gone.  And so the mission begins:  the quest to find an acceptable mate...

Her birthday lamentations were cut short though, by Iqbal's very wet death.  (Don't worry I'm not keeping that ugly hair!)

He didn't argue or beg.  When the Reaper beckoned him he went willingly.  Death was a sweet release from the heartbreak Ember had caused him.

Luna went soon after.

And that would be Grim checkin out the goods.  (Not that I blame him.)

He was very grateful to Ember for the steady supply of souls she was sending him.

While on her way to the mailbox to pay the bills, Ember met a girl named Zelda Mae.  Ember had her swooning at once.

This girl is, well, weird.  Really weird.  There's something wrong with her eyebrows, and she wouldn't stop talking about llamas.  So Ember told Zelda about the pet llama she keeps in the broom closet...

Just as she locked the door behind her, the doorbell rang.  It was Gomez Addams, one of her co-workers.  Now, Ember had been trying to get Gomez to leave Morticia for some time now, and it seemed that he was finally prepared to do just that.  He kissed her passionately, but before she could ask him to be her boyfriend, he ran out the door.  He was late for work, and so was she.

The next day, Ember went to the closet to check on Zelda, who either didn't notice or didn't mind that she was locked in the closet.  The closet, by the way, had been expanded previous to Zelda's arrival to include a bed and a small bathroom.  Ember did this in the hopes that her captives wouldn't be so smelly and tired when she went in to feed on them.  It didn't work...

After a little make out session, Ember dumped Zelda.

And then drank her fill.

But she was not nearly satisfied, and she was growing tired of women, so she returned to the hunt.   She still needed to find a mate as well.

She ran into one of her first meals at the park, Miraj.  He was very into her, but he had to pee or something and ran off.

So she moved on to Xander.

And he was easy as pie.

He was in her bed quick as anything, even the maid seemed to enjoy it. (which really creeped me out!)  (Did I mention how much I <3 her outfit?  from Vita Sims)

Time to say goodbye...again.  Wont she ever tire of this?

Ember:  "You were lousy in bed!"
Xander:  "No!  I was just really tired!"

Then death came for Zelda and I think that's Nick Alto come to watch the show.  (I really love this picture for some reason.)

The chapter ends with Gomez's broken heart.  That's number 7.

Will Ember find a man she can stomach having a child with before its too late???
