The Raine Family Legacy--Gen 1, Chapter 1: The Hunger

Ember has arrived in scenic Sunset Valley. She's leaving the past behind her and starting fresh. She chose a nice chunk of land right on the beach.

She built a sweet little house that was mostly covered porch.

Ember is really a very simple girl. It doesn't take much to keep her happy, just 4 things: blood, sex, money, and watching people suffer(not always in that order). She despises humans and everything they stand for. Her favorite thing in the world is to get someone to fall in love with her, sometimes use them for pleasure and sustenance, and tear their hearts to pieces(occasionally literally).

To be a successful Heartbreaker, you have to look good, so Ember set off for the gym right away.

She introduced herself to some of the locals (and potential victims) along the way. She even met an elf at the Gym.

Here in Sunset Valley, Ember had to hide the fact that she was half Vampire. The people here would not accept her if they knew the truth. She watched the sun set on her first day in her new home. She didn't want to sleep this beautiful night away, but she had to blend in, so she didn't have a choice.

But the next day, while job-hunting, Ember found that crime was rampant and public here in Sunset Valley. They even had an opening on the night shift, which pleased her greatly. She called and made an appointment for an interview. They immediately sent a creepy man to pick her up. He stared at her boobs the whole time...

He took her behind a seemingly abandoned factory where there were fingerprint scanners and cameras everywhere. The whole thing was very unsettling.

When the door opened, it was pitch black inside and the driver had mysteriously disappeared, but Ember assumed this was all an attempt to deter the faint of heart. She went straight to the Boss' office and got the job.

She was jogging home from work when the pain struck her; a stabbing aching pain in the pit of her stomach that felt like dying. Ember knew that if she din't sate the Hunger, it would consume her.

She went after the first person she saw.

She sank her teeth into his neck and drank deeply, until the pain was gone, and then some more, but not enough to end him. Luckily for her, her mixed blood contained more than just the vampire curse, she had magic too. She easily healed his wound and wiped his memory of their encounter.

She left him unconscious in the park, and continued on her way. She immediately ran into yet another elf. She found it somehow comforting that so many like her resided in this town. She didn't stand out as much this way.

After a brief chat, she finally made it back to her house. Her belly was full, but another hunger was settling in. Tomorrow, she planned to find her first heart to break...
